title pic Getting Close to the Party!

Posted by Katrina Kaczmarek on March 11, 2012

I know it has been a few days but I have been swamped. Swamped, but having fun and adjusting really well to my new life.

I am in the mood to plan a party. My last treatment is in two weeks, ant d I want to celebrate. I have met a few women during my two and a half years here in Scottsdale, and so I am going to have a celebration. I was looking around for a good idea, and a place that wouldn’t cost too much, and it looks like we are going to be heading out to Bucca de Beppo in Old Town. If you are a friend of mine from Scottsdale or Phoenix don’t worry, I haven’t actually picked a date or started sending out e-mails and calls. I do however expect all you southwest friends to come! (if you can :-) )

The last time I had a party at Bucca de Beppo was my bachelorette party! Now I am going to celebrate the end of cancer and the beginning of a whole new life. Similar purpose, totally different situation! I was joking with some of the moms at a kid’s party today, that if this party works out really well we will do it again when my divorce is final. For the freedom from cancer party I am going to have a white cake, but I think I will go with chocolate for the divorce party.

I have so many things I want to do, and my days are filling up like crazy. This morning I had to head to the post office because I sold another scarf!!! Whoo Hoo, and then I ran to get gas, and buy birthday presents for the party the kids were going to attend. I also had to get some tax stuff together for my ex, because we are still filing together for 2011. Then I picked up the kids from their dad’s house to take them to the party. They had a blast, and I had a nice time visiting with the moms. I dropped the kids off with their dad, and literally ran home to take a quick nap before my night of beading and pizza with my new girlfriend up in Cave Creek.

I made a new necklace this evening while I was up in cave creek, and I love it. I have wanted to use turquoise and jade, and I finally put something together that I think turned out pretty well using both of these stones.

“As a healing stone, jade has been known to raise sagging spirits. Jade imbues the wearer with a steady stream of positive energy that allows for the wearer to slowly heal from past failures and tragedies. Jade may also be worn to help enhance longevity luck. The stone may also help alleviate intense and mind numbing pain in patients with terminal illnesses, in times when painkillers no longer work.

Jade has also been known to provide emotional balance to the person wearing it, and has been known to calm wrecked nerves. Victims of violent crimes who cannot sleep at night and find it difficult to mingle with the community and society in general would benefit from wearing jade, and from displaying jade in the bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms. More jade means more positive energy. Jade is a great stone that provides not only positive energy, but fortune as well.” -

The world over, wherever Turquoise is found, the local people all have the tradition that this sky blue stone is THE Master Healer. Shamans and Medicine Men all use it the same. There are still some things that scientists cannot fathom. What we do know is that it works. The healing quality of stone vibrations is very real.

“Turquoise is par excellence for spiritual attunement, healing emotions and balancing the auric bodies. It is great for relieving and dissipating sadness or grief.

There is an uplifting quality as well as a calming quality to Turquoise.

The Navajo and Hopi in Arizona value Turquoise as an attractor of prosperity and fertility of the soil. It is used all over as a great protector and provides strength during vision quests.

Because Turquoise is so effective on the etheric planes and because healing first takes place at the etheric levels. From headaches to repairing physical damage to the body, Turquoise works to reduce disease and disorders. In ancient times, it was used for eye problems, especially cataracts. Due to the copper content it is powerful for arthritis and rheumatism.

Turquoise can be used to increase circulation to the muscles for torn ligaments or tendons. Whenever stress builds toxins in the muscles or there is a lack of oxygen, Turquoise can be useful.

It is useful to note that blue Turquoise works with the throat chakra and lungs. Turquoise contains a high amount of phosphorus which is used in Homeopathy for lung problems. Even the ancients advised Turquoise for lung and breathing difficulties.

In addition to being the Master Healer, Turquoise is treasured as a powerful success and good luck stone.”
